Roasted Spiced Chickpeas


These are a great little protein filled snack, and much better for you than reaching for the crisps! You don’t have to use 5 spice, you could use curry powder, paprika, or even do a sweet variety with stevia and cinnamon!


  • 1 tin of chickpeas
  • 2 tsps of 5 spice
  • salt and pepper
  • frylight spray oil


  • Roasting Tray
  • Baking parchment


  • Preheat the oven to 210/ 190 fan / gas mark 7
  • Simply drain the chickpeas and rinse with cold water. Then mix in the spice, season and finally spray with oil.
  • Roast for 20- 30 mins until the chickpeas are crispy, you may want to spray the chickpeas with more oil half way through. And voila!
